MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Sales Specialist provides clinical and sales support through education of current and potential customers, and procedure coverage with a defined region. The role is responsible for communicating product, clinical and market data to appropriate personnel and will support the company's efforts to develop and implement product marketing strategies. The success of this role will rely largely on the individual's ability to execute segment-led initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify meaningful opportunities that will improve brand presence within the market.
This position may be hired at different level, depending on the experience of the candidate. This position may travel in excess of 50%.
The Wound Care & Clinical Sales Specialists are responsible for providing clinical expertise related to sales and marketing initiatives by serving as a field based clinical resource to our customers, end-users and within the sales and marketing teams for all DeRoyal Wound Care product lines - Advanced Wound Care, General Wound Care, Burn Care and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Expertise: Clinical specialists are highly knowledgeable about the medical products or devices their company sells. Understand the technical aspects, applications, and benefits of these products.
- Wound Care products: Support Sales Representatives to promote DeRoyal's wound care lines and assist with clinical questions and best practice use of products for ideal patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain clinical relationships with targeted customer accounts by providing ongoing clinical consultation and by contributing to the strategic goal of securing and/or increasing DeRoyal's Wound Care business within the account.
- Training and Education: Often provide training sessions for healthcare professionals on how to use the company's products effectively and safely. This may involve conducting workshops, seminars, or one-on-one sessions.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Clinical specialists may assist healthcare providers with troubleshooting issues related to product usage or implementation.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, acting as a trusted advisor and resource.
Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of wound care/medical products and their applications.
- Ability to understand and convey complex medical information effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nursing, pharmacy, or biomedical sciences, is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a scrub tech or nurse in the operating room and related medical fields is required.
- Wound Care specific work experience, training or a combination required Additionally, registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Malaysian Nursing Board or the Malaysian Medical Council, may be necessary.
- A proven track record of success in medical sales or a related field is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to build rapport with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills are a must.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is essential.
- Willingness to travel is expected.
