To prepare all meals and other food items served in the designated wok area. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and Company policies, practices, procedures and within the framework.- Prepares meals and other food items served in the wok area.
Uses recipes and a variety of kitchen equipment to prepare Chinese food according the specifications
- Possesses intimate knowledge of Chinese style cooking as well as an overall understanding of Chinese and general Asian cooking techniques.
Possesses intimate knowledge of wok operation, rice cookery, specialized Asian vegetable cuts, and sauces related to stir fry and Chinese cooking.- Monitors customer flow and estimated daily food requirements and supplies, requisitioning items needed on a daily basis.
Bakes, roasts, boils, fries, and steams meat, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
- Informs Supervisor of any irregularities occurring within the food preparation operation and of customer complaints or other disputes which cannot be readily resolved.
Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report in the event an accident occurs.- Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs.
Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies Supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
