Virtual Services Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Virtual Services Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-10 years of experience in a similar role and possess a deep understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Communicating and collaborating with users of the platform to ensure client satisfaction.
• Preparing target test environments.
• Creating and delivering virtualized interfaces.
• Performing tests of created endpoints
• Ensuring that the application documentation is complete and up to date.
• Assure platform availability and perform troubleshooting tasks.
• Solving basic platform issues
• Reacting on monitoring alerts

• 1st & 2nd level customer support for
• Deployment of basic Virtual Services
• Onboarding on Service Virtualization Solution

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 4-10 years of experience in virtualization and cloud computing
• Strong experience with Linux / Unix operating systems
• Knowledge in messaging systems (e.g. IBM MQ, Apache Kafka)
• Experience with GitOps and familiarity with tools like GIT, Ansible, Terraform

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in scripting (python, javascript, bash, etc.)
• Good familiarity with relational database
• Familiarity with IBM Rational Test Workbench / Rational Test Virtualization Server (RTVS)
