Prepare accurate and timely accounting and reporting according to US GAAP/IFRS, including the adoption of recent pronouncements
Direct the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including global consolidated financial statements, during month-end and quarterly closes
Month/Year closing, accurate and timely reporting, and review
Monthly reporting and analysis of results to Corporate office by due date
Review and monitor monthly Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Reconciliations
Co-ordinate and report annual Budget and quarterly Plan and Reforecast for business
Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial modeling as required
Direct and consolidate budgets and load budget detail into financial systems or maintain on Excel in interim
Measure profitability of business segment, clients, and projects
Advise the business on cost saving improvements and opportunities to maximize profits
Supervision of accounting and payroll functions
Management of billing process including timeliness of billing and collections
Responsible for overseeing the Finance ERP systems and to ensure its optimal use as well as driving process improvements
Oversee all financial aspects of the regional shared service center and optimize its use across the region to minimize operating costs
Review weekly cash forecast and manage cash, including collections from customers and timing of payments to vendors
Assist in developing and refining processes and standards including streamlining and improving work papers
Statutory and regulatory reporting to external authorities as required
Analyze variances between actuals and budgets/forecasts to identify drivers and trends and resolve discrepancies
Assist in setting global accounting and finance policies standardized across the region / company and in accordance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS
Assist in preparing the company for IPO readiness, including quarterly / interim reporting
Bank liaison for various tasks
Perform general administration duties as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned by CEO, CFO or Corporate Controller
Qualifications And Experience
6+ years progressive accounting/leadership experience
Able to communicate fluently and effectively in English both verbally and in writing is a must. Korean language proficiency is a plus
University degree in accounting, finance or related field required
Accounting certification preferred
Experience in finance ERP systems implementation and process improvement is required
Experience overseeing a shared service center and optimizing its use to minimize operating costs is preferred
Must have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS including an understanding of accounting controls, processes and procedures is required
Experience in annual audits and an audit perspective that is reflected in accounting policies and procedures, work papers and support documentation a plus
Leadership experience required overseeing staff, department functions, and processes required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Navision experience is a plus
