- POSITION MANAGER, TRANSPORTATION

HEAD/ DEPUTY HEAD OF OPERATIONS
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to join our team and oversee our daily domestics transportation requirement as below:
- Local parts collection 144 routes (74 Shah Alam, and 70 Tanjung Malim)
- Inter and Intra Proton plant transportation (10 routes)
- Seat Synchronize transportations (4 routes to Proton Plant)
- CKD Warehouse transportations (RDC to LOC to Proton Plant CKD pack density 8.6 unit/Container)
- FIF CKD delivery to vendors (23 vendors)
- Vendor transport services (AAPICO)
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management and possess knowledge of warehouse procedures, including inventory management, order dispatching, and truck tracking.
Your familiarity with safety protocols and legal regulations will ensure the smooth and secure handling of all transportation.
In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency of our transportation operations while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Your attention to detail and strategic planning skills will be crucial in ensuring that our parts/customers parts are promptly delivered, safely handled, and cost-effective.
- Key Responsibilities:
Plan and supervise the delivery from supplier to the end-user.
Schedule daily and weekly routes
Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)
Coordinate with transporter to ensure proper truck schedule availability as per customers requirement.
Monitor and report on transportation costs to ensure portability.
Ensure transportations documents are properly filed.
Research and suggest cost-effective transportation methods.
Conduct regular safety audits on equipment.

Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines and handling of hazardous material)
Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation.
Stay up to date with safety regulations.
To assist the Head of Operations to strive for the achievement of Key performance indicators (KPIs)
Other tasks as required by management.
Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager, or similar role
Solid knowledge of supply chain management
Experience in preparing and tracking orders.
Familiarity with logistics software (TMS, WMS)
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to supervise and train staff.
Problem-solving abilities.
Budgeting and planning experience
Excellent negotiating skills
BSc in Supply Chain, Logistics, or relevant field.
