Advise and coordinate with Port Control staff for duties related to operation matters to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsible for the navigational safety of vessels arriving and departing, berthing, un-berthing, mooring, unmooring and anchoring to ensure safe and efficient marine services.
Seek advice and heed the instructions given by the Senior Pilot on duty, to ensure safe and efficient pilotage operations.
Monitor and supervise the efficiency of the tugboats, pilot boats, mooring services and their personnel, to ensure safe and efficient marine operations.
Ensure all communications equipment are in good working condition, and to report any irregularities with regards to navigation aids, marine pollution, accident and any other threats to the Senior Pilots and Port Control staff.
To submit the marine data on time to ensure the billing efficiency and for data input purposes.
Requirements
Possess minimum qualification Diploma in Nautical Studies and COC Class 3.
Deck Officer with at least 1-year experience.
Knowledge and skillful in ship handling and ship stability.
Good knowledge in the environment of local water and rules.
Knowledge in Local and International Convention, rules, regulations, acts and laws related to marine.
Knowledge in all marine emergency procedures.
Fluent in communication - spoken and written Malay & English languages.
