Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to departmental grooming standards and dress in full uniform at all times.
Practice professionalism in every situation with co-workers, guests and management, treating each person with respect and integrity.- Maintain positive guest relations at all times, including in-house guests, day guests, and telephone inquires.
Maintain a complete knowledge of the following: Spa operating hours, pricing fees and charges for all services and signature treatments & retail brands, product lines, services and special promotions.
- To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel/resorts employee rules and regulations.
To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel/ resorts policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
Communication
- Greet all arriving and departing guests in the treatment areas by name.
Maintain the confidentiality policy for all spa guests, never disclose the names of spa guests to other guests, media or contracted staff.
- Receive and respond to all guest concerns, comments or complaints with discretion and urgency.
Advise all incoming guests of treatment procedures, and special instructions.- Inquire as to the guest experience and level of satisfaction with service.
Provide explanation for all massage techniques and treatments used.
- Answer any massage therapy questions or concerns.
Communicate request preferences to relevant departments and co-workers.- Provide respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests needs with a professional and pleasant manner.
Administration
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and functioning properly.
Maintain a daily activity log.
- Attend all staff meetings.
Attend all safety meetings.- Handle emergency situations with urgency and discretion.
Operations
- Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable professional massage and treatment, using professional techniques.
Practice universal health care protocol while dealing with guests and co-workers.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and functioning properly.
Exercise dependability and willingness to work with schedule flexibility.- Maintain treatment room cleanliness at all times. Practice a clean as you go approach to the work areas.
Participate in continuing education.
- Observe all departmental safety procedures and protocols.
Handle emergency situations with urgency and discretion.
