Job Title: Test Lead (Azure DevOps Specialist)
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and expertise in using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test case management. This role will involve leading a team of testers, overseeing the testing process, and ensuring the effective use of ADO to manage and execute test cases.
Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies.
Develop and implement testing strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
Manage the full testing lifecycle using Azure DevOps, including test planning, test case creation, execution, and reporting.
Create, maintain, and optimize test cases and test suites within Azure DevOps.
Utilize ADO's test management features to track test progress, defects, and overall quality metrics.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper integration of testing processes within the development lifecycle.
Generate and analyze test reports using ADO's reporting capabilities to provide insights on product quality and testing progress.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance testing efficiency.
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects within the ADO environment.
Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, providing testing estimates and insights.
Stay updated on the latest features and best practices for test management in Azure DevOps.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
Proven expertise in using Azure DevOps for test case management and execution.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience leading and mentoring testing teams.
Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Azure DevOps, or other testing certifications.
Experience with automated testing tools and their integration with Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with other Azure services and their integration with ADO.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for test automation and reporting.
