Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement sales support strategy for a designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing estimations, bids, and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets and leading, developing, and coaching the Sales Support team. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solution Business being based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: Working in collaboration with the Sales team to support and execute strategies to establish products and solutions during design/identification phase. Overseeing the support provided and proposal preparation by assigning and allocating internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation. Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, and pricing) in each offer Supporting bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participating in project risk review processes. Collaborating closely with the opportunity leader to understand the opportunity requirement / Scope / Specification / Needs and develop a customer request into a ABB offer by proposing a compliant solution with the Client requirements in the most cost-effective manner. Providing accurate and approved tender/bid submission within SLA. Commercial judgement ability to estimate the potential value of an enquiry/tender, and the chance of success Our team dynamics (Optional). Qualifications for the role
Degree majored in Automation & Electrical Engineering or any equivalent qualification.
More than 5 years plus working experience in Tendering/Bid in the Automation industry (Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Chemical & Refinery and Petrochemicals).
Prior and proven experience working ABB portfolio/Automation Technology, especially for Control System and Electrical solutions are mandatory.
Pricing and negotiation skills with Vendor/Client/EPC/Contractor etc and ability to lead/front tender discussions.
Leadership through influence, problem solving, team-working, communication, result orientation complete the profile.
Fluency in English is a must, both written and spoken. Full proficiency in local language represents an advantage.
