Job Responsibility
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialist in Laser cut, Fire cut or Plasma cut to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cutting team to ensure all the production proceed run smoothly.
- To ensure daily production targets are meet with standard quality within the standards given.
- Operate the Laser cutting machines, Fire cutting machine, and Plasma cutting in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
- Able to perform preliminary troubleshoot in resolving operational issues by conducting root cause analysis and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
- Create and edit laser cut files from CAD drawings in various formats; prepare, lay out and array parts from the cut files in the laser software for optimal engraving and cutting speeds and yield.
- Monitor fill level of chiller system and process gases, and report reordering levels.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required all dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform typical machine shop operations to support the production and fabrication process.
- Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
- Must be able to operate with minimal supervision once trained by following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times.
- Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.
- Undertake other responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time
Job Requirements
- Possess 1 - 2 years of working experience in manufacturing environment. Those who have working experience in similar field is highly preferred.
- Experience with 2D 3D CAM/CAD software and Graphics Design software a plus.
- Willing to work on shifts.
- Have leadership and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Language required: English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin will be added as advantage.
