Network Maintenance: Ensure continuous and reliable internet connectivity aboard maritime vessels through effective monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network equipment and satellite systems.- System Optimization: Implement and optimize network configurations to enhance performance, reliability, and security in maritime environments.
Emergency Response: Provide timely resolution of network issues, including during emergency situations, to minimize downtime and ensure seamless connectivity.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with service providers and vendors to negotiate contracts, monitor service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports. Generate regular reports on network performance and reliability metrics.- Technical Support: Offer technical guidance and support to onboard crew members and shore-based teams regarding network operations and troubleshooting procedures.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to maritime connectivity. Ensure adherence to relevant guidelines and compliance requirements.
