Roles & responsibilities
This position will have the responsibility to direct all technical and sales supports in the region and lead research projects on product specification or product development to satisfy customers requirements and position as a premium provider on the market.
- Create conceptual sketches and CAD visualizations
- Develop, design and build patterns, samples, prototypes for products
- Design or assist production engineer with the design of manufacturing processes
- Determine product assembly processes, assembly order and create assembly instructions
- Evaluate, identify and select materials from suppliers
- Develop quotations and schedules for their portions of design with minimum assistance
- Provide onsite technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, NPI
- Perform ad hoc job assigned
Education
Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Electrical Engineering
Skills and Qualification Required
- Proven experience at least 1 year in technical design and engineering roles, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) for designing and drafting technical drawings.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong proficiency in CAD and CAE tools for design and simulation.
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Added advantage if candidate able to speak, write and read Mandarin

Salary Range
- MYR 4,000 up to MYR 4,500
