Responsible for overall corporate tax compliance matters for group of companies.
Manage and monitor filing of corporate tax returns and ensure tax computations to be prepared in a quality and timeliness manners and keep sufficient tax documentation.
Responsible to prepare/review of provisional tax computation for revision of tax estimates.
Responsible to establish in-house tax computation template
Responsible for tax audit/investigation/dispute with tax authority.
Ensure proper transfer pricing documentation is maintained.
Identify potential tax enhancement/initiative to improve overall tax efficiency level for group of companies
Promote tax awareness within group of companies to ensure tax risk/cost be included as part of the consideration for business/project valuation
Provide training to internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance Department) to keep abreast the tax knowledge of the working level
Maintain professional relationships with external advisors, auditors and local tax authorities
To perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and preferably with Professional Accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CPA & ICAEW.
Minimum 5-7 years of working experience of relevant corporate income tax experience, with Big 4/ Mid-Tier CPA firms / well established group of companies preferred.
Exposure in property development / construction / plantation business segment is an added advantage.
Strong analytical skills and able to understand complex business transactions.
Able to identify potential risks and suggest possible solutions or mitigating factors.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia in both written and verbal, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain tax issues to colleagues with a non-tax background.
