Job Summary:

The System Analyst for Insurance will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and applications that support core insurance operations. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the systems align with business requirements and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and experience with insurance-specific applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements for new systems or enhancements within the insurance domain.
• System Design and Documentation: Create technical specifications, system design documents, and process flows to detail system functionality for developers and QA teams.
• Data Analysis and Integration: Analyze data sources, map data flows, and support data integration efforts between systems to ensure seamless interoperability.
• Application Support: Act as a point of contact for insurance applications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high system availability for business operations.
• Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, conduct system testing, and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure functionality aligns with business needs.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure systems comply with insurance regulations and data security standards, addressing audit findings or risks as necessary.
• Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between IT and business teams, providing updates on project status, system changes, and any impacts on operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Familiarity with core insurance processes, such as underwriting, claims processing, and policy administration.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and familiarity with insurance-related software (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek).
• Knowledge of system integration methods (APIs, ETL processes).
• Understanding of data privacy and security standards relevant to insurance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
