Position Summary:
The manufacturing software developer will play a key role as subject matter expert on Siemens OpCenter manufacturing execution systems version 8. This role operates in a scaled agile framework and in a highly motivated and skilled global manufacturing software system team. This individual will plan, design and implement efficient and sustainable IT and business system solutions to support manufacturing operations.
Where you come in:
Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software features associated with manufacturing process in Camstar v8, supporting multiple manufacturing sites.
Responsible for control system and ERP system data integration
Ensure that MES design and development work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated to business users
Modify or build new configurations in the MES solution to support continuous improvement to manufacturing processes
Participate in activities required to support production, including but not limited to troubleshooting, investigations, MES users support, periodic reviews, root cause analysis, preventive and corrective actions.
Strong time management skills, including the ability to adhere to assigned prioritizations, manage expectations, meet interim and final deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Capacity to see the big picture and develop plans with a global mindset
Support inspections and site audits as needed.
What makes you successful:
5+ years of applied experience in manufacturing and MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency
3+ years of experience with Siemens Opcenter (Camstar)
3+ years of SQL Server experience
2+ years of experience in MOM/MES applications, integration with other major plant floor and / or enterprise applications, for example, APS, PLM, ERP, SPC and shop floor manufacturing equipment
Excellent written, verbal and team skills
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
SDLC and project management skills
Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements
Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
