Position based in Petaling Jaya.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily operation of wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance to Environmental Quality Act 1974
- Conduct daily analysis on wastewater characteristics (pH, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, etc.)
- Maintain inventory of chemicals and reagents used for wastewater analysis
- Identify issues and problems with wastewater treatment equipment or system
- Prepare chemicals when required for wastewater treatment
- Perform minor maintenance work on WWTP system including chemical piping systems.
- Maintain proper chemical dosages and feed equipment settings for influent and effluent plant flows.
- Investigate any upset conditions in WWTP & came up with corrective action & preventive action.
- To follow up closely on the work progress of the maintenance/service job by consultant/ contractor.
- To support and setting dewatering system (MDSP machine) and sludge management.
- Daily perform PM (performance monitoring) report
- Conduct weekly inspection on scheduled waste storage area and inventory
- Ensure all scheduled wastes are disposed in proper containers
Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:
- Technical/functional skills on basic laboratory analysis (diploma holder)
- Technical/functional skills on environmental science
- Minimum 1 year of experience in operating WWTP
- Posess CePIETSO PCP or CePIETSO BP would be added advantage
