Job Summary:Role in managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations.
Involves overseeing procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
Procurement and Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best quality ingredients, raw materials, and packaging materials at competitive prices.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Collaborate with production teams to develop accurate production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
Optimize production efficiency while balancing factors such as lead times, labor availability, and production costs.
Inventory Management:
Implement inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
Utilize inventory management software systems to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage replenishment orders.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
Logistics and Transportation:
Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and distribution.
Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize shipping costs and transit times.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and food safety standards during transportation.
Warehousing and Distribution:
Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
Implement efficient warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and minimize handling costs.
Monitor and maintain warehouse hygiene and safety standards.
Quality Control and Food Safety:
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP guidelines, and industry standards at all stages of the supply chain.
Cost Management and Budgeting:
Develop and manage supply chain budgets, including expenses related to procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize costs without compromising quality or service levels.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline supply chain operations.
Conduct regular performance reviews and KPI assessments to monitor the effectiveness of supply chain processes and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) preferred.
Proven experience (5 years) in supply chain management, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management, and procurement strategies.
Proficiency in using supply chain management software systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
