Responsibilities:

Engineering Queries, resolution.

Supplier audits focusing on manufacturing process.

Engineering resolution of CAR and onsite resolution / improvements, GD and T focus.

Support DFM program with suppliers vis--vis customer.

KPIs, eg. EQ PCB articulations namely Thailand, Localization through engineering for Built to Print parts for Benchmark USA, Europe.

First Article issues / EQ / DFM.

Onsite support for customers and other Benchmark divisions request.

Value Engineering.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of GD and T.

Good knowledge of quality management system.

Minimum bilingual and written (English, Mandarin) and able to communicate with all levels of people.

Managing or assisted projects to success.

Knowledge, experience of Mech / PCBs / Fabricateds, likes of casting, various machining, extrusion, enclosures/sheetmetal, stamping, plastics, plastic screen, MIM, PM, cable assembly, wire harnassing, fan assembly, secondary operations / finishing / coatings / weldings, fabrications, etc.

Interpret prints and resolving quality issues with improvements (track records).

Familiar with related industry and regulatory standards.

Good network / familiar with suppliers on high mix / low volume for advantage on cost competitiveness.

A self driver with little supervision.

Initiative.

Education and Experience:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant to above.

3-5 years experience as stated in this Job Description.

PCB manufacturing experience added advantage.

Experience working with other sites, Asia and beyond. International exposure.

Has been in EMS environment.

Experience in Value engineering.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Training in quality management, certified auditor, trained in TQM, SPC or ISO stds (ISO 9000s..), an added advantage.

Able to travel.
