Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
Analyze current logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.- Implement and manage initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels and timely replenishment.
Ensure all logistics operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics operations.
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance, challenges, and improvements to senior management.
Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and customer service to ensure alignment of logistics activities with business objectives.- Act as a point of contact for resolving logistics-related issues and addressing customer concerns.
Assist in the preparation and management of the logistics budget.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to stay within budgetary constraints.
