Your contribution to TenneT
The Sub Project Lead Electrical/Instrument/Telecom is working as part of the clients site team on the shipyard of MMHE Malaysia and is in charge to oversee the delivery of 3 2GW topsides (30.000t) and 3 2GW jackets (10.000t) by the contractor. You are responsible to supervise all electrical (related) disciplines and activities on the yard during all phases (i.e. mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning). You will be supported by other inspectors where required. During the construction phase, you are responsible for ensuring that the contractor meets all TenneTs requirements and that the platform is built in accordance with the design. The scope includes: low voltage equipment and systems such as auxiliary power system, LV distribution system, lighting, lightning, earthing and bonding, UPS systems, generators, telecommunication equipment, cabling, etc.
You will report to the Lead Site Manager and work together with different Sub Project Leads for Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation in the project, based in The Netherlands.
For the f irst 3-6 months you'll be based in Arnhem, The Netherlands before moving to Johor Bahru, Malaysia on a residential basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for all LV electrical, instrument and telecom systems during all phases of the construction, i.e. mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning;
- Participate in all testing and commissioning activities for the assigned scope;
- Follow up on the contractors progress of the works for the assigned scope;
- Check for compliance of the design and execution of the works in accordance with TenneTs requirements;
- Manage the EPCI contractor towards successful completion of the assigned scope;
- Report to the Lead Site Manager about progress, issues, etc.;
- Liaise and inform he Sub-project Lead Electrical (based in The Netherlands) on progress and particular issues, lessons learnt, etc.;
- Ensure that the execution of the works is conform the design;
- Review as-built documentation;
- Reviewing of technical (design) documentation;
- Be involved during the equipment manufacturing phase and FATs;
- Responsible for progress and quality of the assigned scope.
Your profile and background
- Extensive experience with offshore projects in the Oil & Gas, Renewables or Shipping industry during construction phase;
- Electrical engineering background or equivalent (BSc. degree or higher);
- 10 years+ experience with design, installation, testing and commissioning of low voltage systems;
- Knowledge of electrical International Codes and Standards;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- You have strong problem solving skills not only identify issues, but solve them as well;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing;
- Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not mandatory;
- You have no nine-to-five mentality.

Additional Information
- The weekly working time is 40 hours;
- 43 holidays per annual on a full time basis;
- Job grade 8 or 9 depending on knowledge and experience (Euro 3879 - Euro 8594 gross a month on full time basis) according TenneT TSO CAO;
- Type of contract is temporary for 12 months and a consecutive contract will be indefinite;
- First 3-6 months will be based in Arnhem, The Netherlands before moving to Johor Bahru, Malaysia on a residential basis;
