The Student Supervisor (Primary) holds the responsibility of ensuring the safety and coordination of the primary level students during their time with us with the purpose of delivering the ACE pedagogy and experience to prepare students for the real world. The Student Supervisor will assist in Security, Supervision and General Welfare of Students, typically during non-class time, on school property, during arrival and dismissal.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Implementing the School Code of Conduct.
- Ensure our primary level students are adhering to the schools rules and regulations.
Assisting the Teachers in keeping an eye on the students safety and security over the course of the school day according to the determined SOPs especially during recess, play time, before and after school, external sports events, field trips, and emergencies.- Communicating with the Head of Student Supervisors on students behaviour i.e. troublemakers, shy, etc. and figuring out ways to support them.
Be vigilant and observant at all times.
Provide first aid treatment for students with minor injuries, in the absence of the nurse.- Accompany students in the infirmary and monitor their health condition, in the absence of the nurse.
Communicating injuries, incidents, etc. with the Administrative Department.
- Always make your superior aware of any problems that may escalate into an incident, giving them the opportunity to diffuse the situation.
Supporting, consoling, or counselling (if needed) the students in their times of distress ie. injury, vaccination, incidents, etc.- Assist trial students to settle in the classrooms.
Patrolling the corridors (primary level).
- Ensure students safeguard and respect the use of the schools property and facilities.
Anticipates potential injuries and takes the initiative to intervene and discourage activities such as rough play, excessive arguing or unusually large or boisterous gatherings.- Standing in for teachers who may need to step out of the class for a short while and during changeover of lessons if the next teacher has not come in yet.
Acquire feedback about students from teachers for Counsellors/ Principal/ Vice Principal whenever required.
- Prepare the Yearly Sports Schedule.
Supervise at the swimming pool during swimming lessons (Dwi Emas).- Coordinating the students upon their arrival at the start of the day and departure from school at the end of their school hours.
Updates of new enrolment.
- Update contact details of parents/guardians Whatsapp Broadcast Group.
Assist with clearance of classrooms (books, materials, notices), notice boards along the hallways and lockers at the end of every school academic year.- Assist in collection and/or distribution of Consent Forms whenever required.
Assist in emergency situations whenever required.
- Establishes positive rapport with students.
Performs other assigned comparable or transient duties which are within the area of knowledge and skills in this job description.- Provide any assistance whenever required.
Diploma or Bachelors degree.- Knowledge of using software like Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills, especially with the students and their parents.
- Patience and genuine enjoyment being around children.
Excellent spatial awareness. Good organisational skills.
- Emotional intelligence and management.
Ability to collaborate with all levels of people in the organisation.
