Role Overview:
The Student Success Manager - Academic & Careers will play a vital role in ensuring that students achieve their academic goals and successfully transition into their careers. This position involves providing support, guidance, and resources to enhance the student experience, promoting engagement and retention throughout their journey at Sigma School.
Responsibilities:
- Student Support: Act as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance on academic pathways, career opportunities, and personal development.
Engagement Initiatives: Develop and implement programs and initiatives aimed at fostering student engagement, satisfaction, and success.- Career Development: Collaborate with industry partners to create career resources, workshops, and networking opportunities for students.
Monitoring Progress: Track student performance and engagement metrics, identifying at-risk students and implementing interventions to support their success.
- Collaboration: Work closely with academic staff and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to student success, addressing any challenges that arise.
Feedback and Improvement: Gather and analyse student feedback to continuously improve the student experience and success initiatives.- Workshops and Events: Organise and facilitate workshops, seminars, and events focused on academic skills, career readiness, and personal development.
Reporting: Prepare reports on student success metrics and program effectiveness, presenting findings to senior management for strategic planning.
Requirements and Skills:
- Education: A Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in student services, academic advising, or career counselling, preferably in an educational environment.- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, faculty, and industry partners.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions to enhance student success.
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
