Complete required work on assigned requests including price analysis, vendor analysis, and follow-up on complex and costly purchases.
Source and compile a global vendor database as instructed by temple designers, project managers, and temple facility managers.
Select and negotiate legal contracts with vendors providing goods and services of the best value for the Church.
Procure items and services needed for new and operating temples assigned in/outside of the Asia Area.
Establish strategic relations with suppliers and foster good relations with other stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Follow up on shipments closely with local/regional/overseas vendors and resolve customs clearance and payment issues with stakeholders.
Monitor incoming shipments to assigned warehouse, and submit claims requests for damaged shipments, if any.
Support new temple installation together with the interior designer and temple facility managers.
Bachelors degree in business or related discipline and with at least 4 years of related work experience
Experience in international supply-chain, supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing and global purchasing preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and other language(s)
Demonstrated experience in providing and leading improvements in customer services
Strong negotiation and organizational skills, business sense, and able to deliver meaningful results under time pressure
Ability to work effectively with a team by establishing and cultivating trusted and respectful relationships, able to resolve conflicts
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other common computer software
Driver license holder and CPM or CPSM certification preferred
Must be able to travel internationally as required (mostly within Asia)
