Storekeeper

Job Summary:

The Storekeeper in the Engineering Department of our hotel is responsible for managing inventory and supplies crucial for maintenance and operations. This role includes receiving, storing, issuing, and documenting materials, tools, and equipment essential for hotel operations. The Storekeeper maintains accurate inventory records, monitors stock levels, and works closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure efficient operational support.

• Job Description:

Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, tools, and equipment.

• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas within the hotel.

Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, transactions, and stock levels.

• Generate reports on inventory status, consumption patterns, and forecasting needs.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Job Requirement:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or hospitality management is a plus

• Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment and able to lift and move heavy items.

Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.

• Familiarity with inventory software (e.g. Material Control) and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

Comfortable working in storage areas and back-of-house environments within the hotel.
