Meet the team:
We are seeking a Staff Database Administrator that encompasses highly technical and supervisory responsibilities in Ms SQL Server database administration, including monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, conducting security management, data modelling, auditing, and supporting complex database systems and related functions. The successful candidate will not only possess strong technical skills in the areas of SQL Server database management but will also be exceptionally hands on and able to effectively perform work independently as well as part of a team, that may often require collaboration with members of other IT units and business users.
Where you come in:
Clustering, database mirroring, replication and log shipping configuring and troubleshoot issues
Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues.
Blocking and deadlocking issues
Performance tuning, query optimization, using performance monitor, SQL
Profiler and other related monitoring
Detect and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL server 2017/2019/2022 related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
Backups, restore, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands
Implementing operational automation
SQL database operational support
Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, storage components
Configure and maintain dataset server and processes including monitoring of system health and performance
Performance tuning, query optimization, using performance monitor
What makes you successful:
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2017/2019/2022 Instances, Database administration and SQL Server components such as Database engine (SSDS), Integration Services(SSIS), Reporting Services(SSRS) and Analysis Services(SSAS) running on Windows Standalone and Cluster servers
Strong understanding and/or working experience of Microsoft SQL Server installation, upgrade, database setup and implementation of SQL Server technologies such as SQLAlwaysOn, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, SQL Replication and Windows StandaloneClustering using Storage-level replication for High availability and Disaster recovery.
Solid years of experience at least 5-8 years of manufacturing segment with SQL Server DBA Level 2 or 3 role
Experience in SQL Server Instance upgrade from SQL Server lower version to latest version and Database migration from one SQL Server to another
Strong knowledge in utilizing SQL Server monitoring and troubleshootingperformance tools such SQLCMD, SQL profiler, Database Import/Export, Database upgrade tool and SQL Server Management Studio
Experience in addressing SQL database alerts/issues, capacity constraints and performance related items.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving, identify tuning opportunities, implement improvement, and advise Production support/developer teams on root cause/analysis, SQL tuning and permanent solution.
