In your new role you will:
- Recommend, develop, and implement advanced security concepts in the field of Operational Technology (OT) security, such as back-up, network segmentation, or hardening concepts.
- Be responsible for the evaluation and recommendation of security solutions for OT, and actively contribute to security architectures for OT.
- Explain, consult, and develop advanced security concepts for applications in the manufacturing environment.
- Take over a driving role in global projects to improve cybersecurity in manufacturing sites in the region APAC and in particular in Malaysia.
- Provide active support to equipment owners and equipment maintenance in the security lifecycle management of complex production systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Provide support to the manufacturing side in vulnerability management and incident response.
- Support the integration of advanced cyber security tools and techniques for OT cyber security.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-regionally with experts in production. automation, IT, and cyber security to ensure security by design.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Cyber Security, or any equivalent course.
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience in the Semiconductor/Manufacturing / Industrial Automation / Industrial Process Control Sector.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Enterprise IT or Operational Technology (OT) cyber security domain ideally in the Semiconductor /Manufacturing / Industrial Automation / Industrial Process Control Sector or as a cyber security consultant.
- Experience with defining and implementing Security Architectures and Security concepts for the IT / OT environment including backup, Malware Defense, hardening techniques for OT equipment (i.e. Linux and Windows operating systems), and IT / OT network architectures.
- Experience as a cybersecurity consultant in application development within the manufacturing environment is considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of common cybersecurity frameworks for ICS / OT environments (e.g. ISA-99/IEC 62443, CIS, NIST SP 800-82, etc.) is a plus.
- First experience in control systems design, implementation and / or maintenance of SCADA / ICS is a plus.
- Skills in programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Go) that allow automating processes for example are considered a plus.
- A positive attitude, strong analytic skills, excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present technical proposals targeted to the audience clearly and concisely.
- The ability to work with diverse teams and worldwide peers collaboratively.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
- Self-motivated, driven to learn and pragmatic.
- Excellent English in both writing and speaking.
