We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our patients in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will adhere to compliance standards, prioritize patient needs effectively, and support physicians in delivering comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, professional nursing care to patients, assessing their condition to prioritize treatment effectively.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitor patient reactions, and manage any side effects to ensure patient safety.
- Perform routine nursing procedures including blood collection, injections, IV setups, wound dressing, and Ryle's tube insertion.
- Educate patients, their families, and friends about health conditions, prescribed treatments, and necessary self-care skills.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by enforcing strict adherence to health and safety regulations and infection control standards.
- Manage medical equipment by performing routine checks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring necessary repairs are carried out.
- Oversee inventory of medications and medical supplies, predicting needs and preparing for replenishments to avoid shortages.
- Document nursing procedures and patient observations meticulously, contributing to accurate medical records and incident reporting.
- Assist with the planning of staff schedules and allocation of work responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Nursing along with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- At least 2 years of experience in clinical or hospital settings, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of outpatient care dynamics.
- Strong orientation towards excellent customer service.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for clinical management and documentation.
