Role
The Day-To-Day Activities
Brand custodian. You will be the representation of U Mobile's brand identity: To inspire, guide, design and construct innovative comms to all Malaysians based on our core brand values.
Marketing and comms lead for all things related to corporate brand comms ideas, creative, key message development & all brand-related activities (to both internal employees and external Malaysians).
Development of strategic brand plan (includes No.1 5G and Network narrative) to create an always-on, top-of-mind presence to position U Mobile as an innovative market leader amongst all Malaysians via paid, owned and earned media channels.
Lead the development & safeguard the brand experience via 360 marketing scope: which includes ATL, BTL, Retail, Social and Digital platforms.
Lead the conversation & collaborative efforts with all relevant parties, such as internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, external creative & media agencies, and potential like-minded vendors and partners.
End-to-end responsibility for campaign ideation, budget management and timely delivery of all projects, such as brief templates, approvals, productions, sponsorships/partnerships, festive campaigns, event management, retail experiences, reports, employee engagements, and so forth.
Reports to the Head of Brand Comms.
About You
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
Experience: 5-8 years of experience in Business, Marketing, or Advertising, with prior experience in the telco industry being a strong advantage.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of telco trends, particularly in 5G technology and emerging innovations such as AR/VR.
Strategic Skills: Proven experience in developing and executing brand and marketing strategies, communication plans, and innovative campaigns.
Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends, consumer insights, and behaviour.
Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Data Savvy: Comfortable working with raw data, and a keen interest in consumer research and analytics.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), discipline with attention to detail and teamwork mentality.
Personal Attributes: Independent, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
