Role: Specialist Finance
Are you excellence in financial operations Join our Assurance Management team as Specialist - Finance, where you'll play a pivotal role in setting up and streamlining our finance operations.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data.
- Prepare billings (invoices) according to contract / agreement (payment milestone) and receipts and Prepare billings (invoices) and official receipts for SAM students, and send them to the respective parents / guardians.
- Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Update billings and receipts in the Accounting System.
- Ensure billings and receipts approved by the approver (FM / HOF).
AR - Managing / monitoring / reporting
- Prepare, maintain and update monthly Invoice Summary Report on weekly basis / whenever got transactions.
- Monitor AR to identify outstanding debts.
- Reconcile AR ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Communicate with clients regarding overdue accounts and payment schedules.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending email reminders and contacting clients.
- Prepare reports detailing aging accounts receivable.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies and reconciling payments and Support month-end closing by providing accurate AR data.
- Continuously improve and develop Accounts Receivable process for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Update and maintain proper report for SAM's revenue (self-pay students).
- Keep proper filing for all debtors (client) contracts / agreement and Liaise with SAM's Admission / Project Team on the latest students information for billing purposes.
Monthly Reporting
- Prepare Synapse Management Accounts and other reports related (Half-yearly).
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, highlight and address all outstanding matters.
- Key-in any unrecorded transactions into accounting system.
- Prepare related journal entries into accounting system (salary journals, claims journal, HRDF transactions, accruals, prepayment and others) in order to close the monthly management account. Addition, Prepare monthly schedules of debtors aging and prepayment.
Fixed Assets
- Prepare, maintain and timely update of monthly fixed assets and inventory registers.
- Responsible for the management and control of the movements, i.e. liaise with other Departments on all FA and inventory activities including budget requests, additions, transfers, disposal, depreciation and data entry.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry, accounting records and financial reports on all FA and inventory activities in the Accounting System.
- Assist in Asset tagging and conducting quarterly physical audit.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in Experiences in handling AR/AP operations, bank reconciliation, taxation, budgeting and liaising with external auditors, tax and bankers.
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and Solid understanding of double entry.
- Ability to foster rapport, mutual respect and cooperation with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial software systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
