We pioneer affordable, reliable next-day, cross-border deliveries for all in Southeast Asia - from single merchants to the largest companies - to move goods and e-commerce anywhere in Southeast Asia, and beyond. Teleport is now the largest air logistics service provider in Southeast Asia, with over 700 Teleporters in seven markets.
We are looking for an Assistant Manager/Manager to join the Communications Team. As a manager/assistant manager, you will have a solid proven track record and experience in strategising, planning and executing strategic communications initiatives, preferably for a B2B company, that will support the delivery of our business goals and objectives. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and resilient with a positive attitude for continuous learning and growth. You will fit perfectly if you enjoy a fast-paced working environment, are creative, analytical, organised, and pay crazy attention to details. Being a natural self-starter and having a strong, organised, and structured way of delivering your thoughts will make you stand out in this application!
A DAY IN A LIFE
Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your day is focused on:
- Strategising, developing and fully executing a cohesive strategic integrated communications initiatives/campaigns to continue to grow the company's presence and positioning across the industry and key stakeholders - in a manner that is aligned to business goals for the quarter/year. This includes issues/crisis monitoring and management.
- Identifying, developing and executing stakeholder engagement plans which includes but are not limited to key media and selected government agencies
- Collaborate and support cross-functionally within the marketing team, with the commercial, operations, finance and CEO Office in Teleport as well as other Lines of Businesses under Capital A Berhad, where needed.

SKILLS
These are minimum-requirement skills and a must-have for the role:
- The ability to communicate in a simple yet substantial and meaningful way: Speak and articulate clearly and write well across various formats and applications
- A simple and data-driven storyteller : Conduct research, analyse various content and reports, understanding and articulating market, industry and financial data to help you produce quality written and presentation work products in the form of talking points, articles, opinion editorials, press release and presentation slides, among others
- You have an understanding of basic financial performance and market data that is relevant to a company, with the ability to find and distill a compelling story from a set of raw data and information
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to changes, able to multitask and is unphased under pressure
- Self-starter, independent and requires minimal supervision, yet highly communicative
- Resourcefulness in finding solutions, able to think critically and analytically
- Highly proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage
- People person and team player
These are skills that are nice-to-have and will make you stand out in the job application:
- Knowledge and experience in cargo, e-commerce delivery business and technology
- Good understanding of strategic planning and marketing
- Experience in executing communications work for a B2B company
- Experience in investor relations
You will be working with a team of 2-3, working cross functionally with all teams in Teleport. This role is positioned at the Regional level and working across multiple countries/markets. This role will be based out of our Headquarters in Wisma Capital A, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time role that reports directly to the Head of Communications, Regional.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Business, Law, Economics, Marketing, Communication or equivalent preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
