Our client is a multinational company and is currently hiring a Procurement & Sourcing Manager, handling the business needs across Asia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out tender, Requests for Proposals, Request for Quotations based on forecasted spend and historical data to ensure optimum savings are being achieved across Asia.
- Identify opportunities to negotiate pricing agreements for the Asia region and ensure that such agreements are executed by the Procurement Hubs.
- Ensure the Procurement Hub are meeting any KPI's that have been set by the company.
- Ensure expediting of all orders are being carried out and communicated across the business to ensure On Time Delivery.
- Provide advice to stakeholders on issues relating to procurement and sourcing contracts.
- Assist with the review of procurement and sourcing procedures for compliance with modern purchasing practices and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Respond to procurement and sourcing priorities, providing timely, solution orientated advice to stakeholders as required.
- Respond to customer inquiries and problem solve accordingly. Refer complex and escalated issues to the Supply Chain Manager Asia.
- Undertake a range of Sourcing and contract management activities.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure successful interpretation of their requirements and timely delivery of contracts that meet the business/procurement needs and constraints.
- Maintain an appropriate audit trail of all formal/informal correspondence in relation to procurement and contracting activities.
- Ensure effective administration of the contractor and contract deliverables within the constraints of the contract document, time, cost, and quality.
- Ensure contract works are delivered in a professional and timely manner within budget and to specifications.
- Provide advice on tenders, prepare tender documentation and oversee the tender process.
- Ensure tender process is conducted in full compliance with the Corporate's policies and procedures.
- Develop, monitor, and report to the Supply Chain Manager Asia on contract KPI's and supplier performance.
- Report to the Supply Chain Manager Asia on issues that may affect contracts, including timing, budgeting, and work quality.
- Preparation reports, briefing notes and other correspondence as required.
- Establish and maintain reports, files and other documentation while taking regard to confidentiality and sensitivity of such documentation.
- Carry out other special projects/tasks as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager Asia.
- Undertake purchasing activities to ensure the on-time and cost-effective flow of materials, goods, and services into the organisation.
- Place orders with individual suppliers and expedite all order to ensure timely delivery.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and the various supply chain/procurement modules incorporated within and how they interact.
- Liaise with relevant legal and finance staff for any supplier setup, modification or deletion activities where required.
- Maintain up to date information in the ERP System through accurate data entry.
- Contribute to cash flow by extending payment terms beyond 60 days across all supply bases.
- Develop new local vendors and contractors in the countries where we operate, to replace international sources.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years industry experience preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures relating to the procurement and sourcing function, academic and industry practiced methods.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to develop new techniques and methodologies, operational policies, practices, guidelines and KPI's relevant to the role.
- Comprehensive experience in the preparation of tenders, proposals, quotes, and contract documentation.
- Experience in working in a flexible manner to cater for unique stakeholder requirements while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and controls.
