About the Role
What you'll do:
- This role will act as a Resident Engineer, supporting customers and ensuring the successful implementation and utilization of ArcGIS deployment in their workplace.
- Provide on-site technical support to customers, assisting them with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting ArcGIS software.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues related to ArcGIS, offering solutions and guidance as needed.
- Conduct hands-on or on-the-job transfer-of-technology sessions for customers to familiarize them with the features and functionality of the software.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues encountered by customers, working closely with the professional services and technical support team if necessary to provide timely solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, including issues reported, solutions provided, and any customizations made to the software.
About You
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Embedded Engineer in GIS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate excels at designing innovative embedded systems for GIS applications and building strong client relationships. You should be eager to leverage your exceptional communication skills and technical expertise to drive our business goals forward. If you are driven, customer-focused, and have a knack for creating and implementing effective embedded solutions in GIS, we would love to hear from you.
We believe that to be successful in this role you will need:
- Degree in GIS/Geomatics/Remote Sensing/Computer Science/Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Between 3 to 5 years of related working experience; with at least 3 years of experience in GIS system development project implementation or technical support experience.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, process, and tools.
- Strong knowledge in 3 or more of the following:
o ArcGIS Server / ArcGIS Enterprise or Web GIS
o ArcGIS Desktop / Pro
o FME/Data Interoperability
o SQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL Database management
o General IT/Network knowledge
o Backup & Disaster
- Proficiency in computer fundamentals, including familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and general software applications.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, such as IP addressing, TCP/IP protocols, and network configurations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with customers and conveying technical information clearly and concisely.
- Esri Certified professional is an advantage.
