Kardex Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our New Business Team in the role of Solution Design Engineer, to be based in Kuala Lumpur. Office location is at Mont Kiara.
This is a Full Time Position which will support our business operations for SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The position reports to the Director New Business, SE Asia.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Solution Design Engineer, your role is to provide professional pre- and post-sales support to the sales organizations with technical guidance, standard solutions, design tools and intralogistics know-how transfer.
In this capacity, you will analyse customer data to fully understand their business requirement, develop system designs, layouts and project estimates, with objective to develop Kardex solutions that is leading edge, cost effective and competitive in the offering to customers. This will require collaboration with the country sales, software and realisation teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain detailed technical knowledge of our Kardex Remstar Product Portfolio.
Provide technical support (data analysis, technical feasibility study and solution proposals for customers evaluation) to the Sales Team during the Sales Phase, typically via back-office role. As needed, support may be required during customer meetings and presentations.
Provide technical support to the Project Managers during the Realization Phase, typically via back-office role. As needed, support may be required during customer meetings, detailed design, installation, testing & commissioning phases.
Write technical specifications for a solution to be integrated in our customer offer.
Request offers from supplier based on a technical requirements document and verify if the supplier offer meets the requirements.
Prepare building lay-outs with our solutions integrated in the building.
Provide input for cost calculations for our projects.
Review Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety of the designed overall solution.
Verify delivery compliance of our suppliers and factory.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Tertiary qualified in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
Work Experience:
Electrical/mechanical/electronic and related software experience
Min 5 years within the intralogistics industry with the hands-on application knowledge in logistic solutions.
High collaboration with the sales organizations (direct or indirect markets, technical support)
Experienced user of modern communication tools and software (e. g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Autocad and 3D)
Language: English fluent (both spoken and written).
Travel: Occasional, international.
