Purpose of the RoleYou will be a key member of the SILC plant engineering maintenance team reporting directly to the Site Engineering Assistant Manager. You will be responsible for all plant new setup or improvement project in mechanical, electrical, facility & civil structure phase (include the machinery and facility related activities). You will work closely across all teams within the plant operations and corporate functions.
Handle the engineering project assign by superior with engineering study, timeline setting, budget estimation, and whole program arrangement.
Work together with maintenance team to responsible for do study on breakdown maintenance, fault investigation, isolation, and rectification of electrical equipment.
Study and review existing electrical/mechanical system and upgrade equipment/systems where possible to improve reliability and efficiency of the plants.
Review, check and evaluate specifications, engineering drawing and design concept of new project and equipment setup. Ensure proper installation of systems in accordance with contract specifications.
Document preparations assigned by superior such as presentation slide/ proposal of project, utility consumption study, machine downtime analysis, incident investigation, work permit, power consumption, WI, SOP, etc.
Follow up to complete the task assign by superior, keep update the status/progress, also ensure to meet the target date of completion.
Do study on design, setup, upgrade, and modify the system.
Work together with site engineering and maintenance team to improve productivity with system study, upgrade and modify of all machineries, equipment's, and utility, also system upgrade activity.
Able perform both electrical and mechanical relevant task.
Give advice on preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime.
To maintain existing system and recommending to management on improvement system to increase productivity and to reduce cost.
To troubleshoot machinery emergency cases and assessing the emergency downtime which are cause by technical issue.
To provide team work on projects, which include designing, installation, commissioning, and validation of new machines.
Work closely with contractor for project arranging, work permit follow up and internal team support manage.
Bring 5S standard to the team.
Assist superior for data collecting and report preparation.
Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time either within or out of your current scope of employment must perform accordingly.
- Requirements & Person Specifications
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Priority in Electrical).
At least 3-5 years working experience in the related field.
Preferably experience in pneumatic system, motor & pump, bearing, gearbox, conveyor, hydraulic system, machinery setup.
Able design and conduct research programs with the application of the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
Able to reading /study the PI&D diagram, electrical control diagram and mechanical design of machinery.
Strong in electrical / electronic troubleshooting are preferred.
Oversee and coordinate the supervisor & technician to maintain and repair the machine.
Strong Automation and Instrument Knowledge.
Giving a strong technical support to the team member and response the call if any machinery relevant issue.
Willing to perform shifts on weekends and public holidays for support if necessary.
Must be highly motivated with positive attitude and self-driven.
Good team player and ability to multi tasks.
Able using CAD (solid work, dxf and AutoCAD) software to draft designs and technical drawings will be an added advantage (especially electrical drawing).
