SIEM Engineer

We are looking for an experienced SIEM Engineer, reporting to the SIEM Engineering Lead, to join the Cyber Fusion Centre. You will have a strong background in Detection engineering, developing monitoring solutions and will be familiar with onboarding data from varied sources. Your role in FNZ will be to build and develop the SIEM solutions for the FNZ Group, owning the lifecycle of data onboarding, use cases and automating responses. You will need to be able to work independently and in a team.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Incident Response team in FNZ to identify, manage and respond to incidents
Create, manage and enhance the SIEM technology in FNZ
Onboarding new data sources
Managing the SIEM infrastructure
Rules and Use case development
Fine tune Use cases based on SOC team feedback.
Threat Intelligence integration
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats and trends and build this into the SIEM strategy
Requirements:
Significant (2+ years) experience of analysing security incidents and developing security use cases.
Significant (4+ years) experience of administering/managing SIEM (Splunk) in a large, distributed environment
Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security administration
Significant experience of data onboarding.
Strong understanding of multiple technologies: o Windows o Linux o Network devices (WAF, Firewalls, Switches) o Cloud o Application Logging
