Main Purpose: Responsible for the overall operations of the Freight management and bookings to ensure it is in compliance with Companys policies and objectives.
- Ensure the proper execution of Freight & Logistics operations.
- Advise sales team & head of supply chain on the latest freight rates & futures
- To liaise with forwarders, shipping agencies, custom, customers, and relevant departments pertaining to import and export shipments.
- To negotiate ocean freights with shipping lines, negotiating local transport charges with local transporters with the objective of getting competitive rates.
- To lead, manage, plan and ensure smooth operations for logistics local delivery, export and import.
- To develop logistic invoice recording and data tracing systems to ensure timely and correct payments.
- To maintain recording and data tracking procedures to facilitate the internal management control and logistics activities to ensure accuracy and effective date flow.
- Responsible for on time delivery and ensure the delivery of goods to customers are timely, secured and efficient.
- Maintaining and conduct employees performance review, goal setting, determining training for all of the employees in shipping department.
- Analyze transportation problems and develop new solutions.
- Ensure compliance to international trade and Customs regulations.
- Evaluate and manage the performance of external vendor (3PL, freight forwarders, carriers)
- Develop effective working relationships with all the external partners including Customers and other regulatory authorities, 3PL vendors etc.
- Ensure compliance to local and international regulatory requirements, including compliance to License Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) processes in Malaysia.
- Apply or renew import duty exemption from Government department.
- Work closely with Sales Admin team, Documentation team and Warehouse team to deliver top notch services to customers.
- Budget preparation and execution in accordance with the Upper Managements direction.
- Review all the operating costs to ensure they are consistently in line with the focused revenue.
- Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in related industry- Minimum five (5) years of working experience in related Logistic, Freight Management, Warehousing, Shipping, Supply Chain
Experience in Logistic, Freight Management, Warehousing, Shipping, Supply Chain
- Pleasant personality and can work in team
