Shift Manager (Production Refinery)

Job Purpose

Accountable, responsible and provide leadership to assigned shift supervisor and operators in managing day-to-day operations of Refinery and Steam Cracker plants to achieve the Daily Targeted Production within the boundaries of company policies, guidelines and statutory regulations in order to safeguard and sustain operation excellence and performance goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Daily Targeted Production

Responsible for the safe and efficient execution in organizing, directing, monitoring and controlling Refinery and Steam Cracker activities, shift to shift basis, to meet the Daily Targeted Production.

• Plant Troubleshooting

Organize, direct and advise on plant troubleshooting in order to maximize /optimize availability, utilization, uptime and efficiency.

Study plant performance and advise Management on any modification and/or improvement required.

• Incident Command System

Manage all crisis during emergencies as an On-Scene Commander according to the Incident Command System.

• Permit to Work Procedure

Analyze, approve, monitor and control all works are carried out in compliance with the refinery safety standards as per Permit to Work Procedure. Spearhead safety programs among the shift personnel to improve safety awareness.

• Enforce company security regulations

Enforce company security regulations and execute constant surveillance of all activities within and around the refinery proximity to prevent loss/damage, unauthorized intrusion and disclosure of company's classified information.

• Prepare Report & Perform Monitoring

Prepare shift hand over Report for submission to the General Manager.

Monitors and controls power and utilities consumption to minimize/optimize usage and prevent wastage. Prevents adverse effect to the environment and refinery proximity by constant monitoring of all refineries effluent quality. Liase with statutory bodies and neighboring communities on any complaints or possible hazardous situation.

• HSE Compliance

Exemplifies a commitment to prioritizing safety and adhering rigorously to OSHA rules and regulations. Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) in the workplace.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years experiences in oil & gas process plant operations
• Knowledge and experience in the operations and maintenance of plant equipment and familiar with equipment classification in refinery/petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge and experience in engineering activities planning, supervisory and control.
