Job Title: SharePoint Online Product Owner

Job Summary: The SharePoint Online Product Owner will be responsible for the planning, development, and management of our SharePoint Online environment, including the Teams & One-drive underlying storage. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, defining product vision/roadmap, and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of SharePoint Online solutions, with a strong emphasis on document security and data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy

o Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for SharePoint Online.

o Align product goals with business objectives and user needs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

o Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and end-users to gather requirements and feedback.

o Prioritize features and enhancements based on stakeholder input and business value.

Product Development

o Create and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined and prioritized.

o Collaborate with the squad and potentially other development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features.

o Oversee the design, development, and deployment of SharePoint Online solutions.

o Initiate and/or drive problem solving within and beyond your scope of responsibility.

o Manage and streamline the communication with your users throughout the entire cycle from inception, requirements gathering,. till post go-live support, and incident and problem management.

User Experience and Adoption

o Advocate user-centric design and ensure a positive user experience.

o Develop and execute strategies to drive user adoption and engagement.

o Ensure training and support are provided to end-users as needed.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement

o Monitor the performance and usage of SharePoint Online solutions.

o Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance functionality and user satisfaction.

Compliance and Security

o Ensure SharePoint Online solutions comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.

o Collaborate with security teams to maintain a secure and compliant environment.

o Implement and manage document security measures, including data labeling and classification.

o Utilize Azure Information Protection (AIP) to classify, label, and protect sensitive information.

o Develop and enforce policies for data access, sharing, and storage to safeguard company information.

Budget

o Manage and monitor your budget; inform management pro-actively on potential deviations from the budget.

o Contribute to cost forecast and budget exercises.

o Look for potential cost savings.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on SharePoint Online.

Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, features, and capabilities.

Experience in agile development methodologies.

Familiarity with Azure Information Protection and data labeling practices.

Skills:
