Job Title: Service Crew cum HostJob Overview:
The Service Crew cum Host plays a dual role in our establishment, providing excellent customer service both at the front of the house and in the dining area. This position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, and committed to delivering a high-quality dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly as they arrive and depart.
- Manage reservations and walk-ins efficiently, ensuring optimal seating arrangements.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus.- Maintain a clean and organized host area.
Answer phone calls and address inquiries or reservations.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and wait staff to manage guest flow and dining room capacity.
Take food and beverage orders accurately from guests.
- Relay orders to kitchen and bar staff promptly.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
Handle payment transactions, including cash and credit card processing.
- Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining and service areas.- Refill condiments and other supplies at tables and service stations.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or customer service training is a plus.
Proven experience as a host, server, or similar customer service role.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.- Manual dexterity to handle small tools and utensils.
Work Environment:- Dynamic, fast-paced restaurant or caf setting.
Interaction with guests, staff, and management regularly.
- Exposure to kitchen and foodservice operations.
