This is an internship role for a Server Engineer at Aidan Technologies in Setapak. As a Server Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting server issues, managing databases, maintaining infrastructure, and working with various operating systems like Windows. This is an on-site role that offers hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
- Operating System Management: Basics of Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server.
- Virtualization Experience (basic): Introduction to VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Web Server Management (basic): Basics of Apache, Nginx, IIS.
- Database (basic): Basic knowledge in MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Configuration Management (basic): Introduction to tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Storage and Backup (basics): Basics of storage systems like SAN/NAS and backup solutions like Veeam or Commvault.
a. NFS: Basic experience with Network File System (NFS).
b. Ceph: Introduction to Ceph.
- Networking (basic): Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, firewall, and routing.
- Security (basic): Basic knowledge in IDS/IPS, antivirus, and other cyber security solutions.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management (basic): Introduction to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Automation and Scripting (basic): Basic skills in scripting such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Containerization (basic): Introduction to Docker, including creating and managing basic containers.

- Practical Experience: Usually, 0-2 years of experience in a related field
- Previous Projects: Experience in small projects or practical assignments during studies.
