Design and deploy scalable and reliable IT infrastructure solutions, including Linux servers, storage systems, and database environments.- Develop and implement system architecture to support business needs and growth.
Manage and maintain server environments, including Linux (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows systems.
- Monitor system performance, perform tuning, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Implement and manage storage infrastructure, including SAN and NAS systems.- Optimize storage performance and manage capacity planning.
Oversee data backup and recovery processes, including regular testing and validation.
- Implement and enforce security policies, including on system and data protection measures, and security monitoring.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.- Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Optimize system and database performance by monitoring and managing resources such as CPU, memory, and storage.
- Implement and manage automation tools to streamline system operations.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies, including storage and database-related solutions.- Test and validate backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Collaborate with application developers, database administrators, and other IT teams to integrate systems and resolve technical issues.
- Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and IT staff, including mentoring and training.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, storage solutions, databases, processes, and procedures.- Prepare and present reports on system, storage, and database, security, and compliance.
Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance system, storage, and database performance and efficiency.
Bachelors degree in Information System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MCSE, RHCE, Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Extensive experience as a System Engineer or in a similar role with a strong background in Linux systems, storage management, and database administration.- Proficiency in managing Linux server environments (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows systems.
Experience with SAN, NAS, and other storage solutions, including provisioning, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and guiding junior staff.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.- Experience managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Proficiency in creating detailed and accurate technical documentation.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT systems, storage, and databases.
