Position Summary:
Responsible for the establishment and monitoring of reliable Suppliers Quality and Manufacturing Processes to ensure products shipped are in compliance with Lumileds quality and reliability specifications and meet customer's requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Ensures suppliers continuous quality improvement plan (QIP) based on business needs and timely implementation.
- Engages in on-site/off-site supplier quality development including coordination /management of required internal/external resources.
- Manages early involvement of suppliers in new product development and product/component improvement.
- Leads or support quality system audits during internal, external or suppliers audits.
- Engages the suppliers to ensure that their competences and capabilities are in line with the business needs. Deploys and follows-up on the Supplier Quality Related KPI's towards the supplier.
- Ensures the assigned supply base meets sustainability requirements. Ensures the timely and correct GSRS data-input. Participates in the Supplier Selection process.
- Sets supplier quality requirements for NPI / HVM improvement to ensure good manufacturability and material quality performance at suppliers.
What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):
- Requires knowledge of business practices and procedures in process control, product testing, statistical analysis, and issues resolution in order to perform data driven analytical analysis.
- Has the ability to use various principles, theories, and concepts, and draws on previous experience to determine an appropriate course of action or to develop and designs solutions to moderately complex problems.
- Experience in planning and scheduling to establish deadlines and ensure the timely completion of several independent tasks, short and long term projects.
- Commands good communication skills, need to directly interface with Business unit managers and peers. Clear communication in setting, defining and ratifying systems, processes, strategies and plans for process or products development and deployments.
Education (Minimum Level)
Field of Study
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant Engineering field or Applied Science.
Years of Experience (Minimum)
Preferred Qualifications:
- VDA or IATF auditor certified.
- Working experience on Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering.
- Working experience on electronic industry.
- Audit skills, familiar with Quality standards
- Understanding business relations.
- LED Product knowledge.
- Experience on Value Engineering.
- Familiar with Six Sigma tools.
- Cross-functional skills.
- Flexibility, regular travelling.
