Objectives
The Senior Software Engineer creates and develops MS Window application for Swisslog's toolchain either on his/her own or in a small team. He/she also assists the system design units of WDS to use the toolchain to complete their design work for new project. Furthermore he/she works under the direction of the team leader and the line management (software development manager, product development project leader)

- Refine user requirements into proper design specifications
- May be asked to do requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing
Technical/Commercial
- Working in a team to develop and maintain the company's toolchain application for the system design and realization community based on C# .Net FW.
- Develop custom software tools as needed to bridge gaps in the existing toolchain.
- Maintain existing software releases and support end users with issues and enhancements.
- Develop and test software in accordance with design requirements
- Guarantee the compliances of the QA rules and guidelines
- Document developed software applications and tools
- Deliver defined parts of a project, including design, implementation, testing, integration (in-house) and documentation
- Maintain and fix bugs
- Provide project support as required
- Maintain an awareness of new and related technologies
Customer focus
- Respond to internal customers promptly and competently
- Work closely with product managers from different product centers to define requirements and specifications.
Team work
- Proactively work to develop and maintain good working relationships within the department, company and customers
- Follow SCDC software development methodologies.
Bring to the team
- Profound C# .Net and C++ knowledge
- Software Engineer (FH / ETH) or an equivalent degree
- Demonstrated ability to function well within a group
- Practical software development experience in Java/JEE is a plus
- Knowledge in OO-Design, C# .Net and C++ architectures
- Programming experience with MS Window and web-based user interfaces
- Good relational database design and programming knowledge (JDBC, SQL)
- Hands-on experience in working with CI/CD pipeline, DevOps tools
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and automation tools.
