Senior Software Engineer

The next phase of our growth in Kuala Lumpur will focus on an exciting data analytics project where you will take responsibility to develop and optimize Java applications interacting with HBASE using Apache Phoenix, Spark or other abstraction layers to run complex SQL procedures. You will work closely with our Kafka team to ensure seamless integration of our data analytics platform and contribute to the performance tuning of large-scale data processes.Performance and efficiency are key values for our customers and you will be responsible for continuously improving our already world-leading performance numbers.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop large distributed applications with integration to data analytics tools and processing pipelines
• Coordinate with Product Owners to ensure project meets business objectives
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Expertise in developing for kubernetes-hosted applications
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and CI/CD toolsets
