Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer, Application Support is responsible for providing technical support for our enterprise-level software applications. This includes responding to general questions and trouble tickets in a timely manner, researching, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues, and identifying potential solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of application platforms and technologies.
Your Responsibilities Are
- Provide technical support for enterprise-level software applications.
- Respond to general questions and trouble tickets in a timely manner.
- Research, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues.
- Identify potential solutions for how to resolve issues.
- Prioritize multiple, open issues.
- Document issue triage as troubleshooting progresses.
- Follow best practices for change control of proposed solutions.
- Maintain service reports.
- Document actionable bugs for engineering resolution.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new features.
- Work with the team to improve the performance and reliability of our software applications.
- Conduct PoC to improve the systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience in application support, with a development background.
- Good understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with application platforms and technologies, e.g. SQL, Java or NodeJS etc.
- Comfortable in challenging the status quo and understand the importance of continuous improvement.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
