The Senior Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting the Business Manager in executing PPG PMC Malaysia sales strategies and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The role involves coordinating with various departments, overseeing sales activities, and helping to develop and implement effective sales plans. You will also work closely with clients and customers to maintain strong relationships and promote business growth. You will be reporting to National Sales Manager and will be based at Petaling Jaya.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Execution:
Assist the Business Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies.
Monitor sales performance against targets and provide feedback to the Business Manager.
- Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services to existing clients.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular sales reports and analysis for the Sales Manager and senior management.
Track and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Assist in forecasting sales and budgeting activities.
- Market Research:
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
Provide insights and recommendations to the Business Manager based on market analysis.
- Coordination and Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
Assist in organizing and participating in sales meetings, presentations, and events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years in the Protective and marine industry with both technical and commercial experience.
Suitable technical or business degree.
Preferably to have Industry business background such as coating, equipment or similar.
Preferably to have professional qualification such as NACE, FROSIO or equivalent.
Sound knowledge of industry codes, practices and certification of materials.
Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems
Expected travel would likely exceed 50% within Malaysia
