Responsibilities

We are seeking for a QA Engineer to join our Guidewire team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of Guidewire software products.

• Design and implement test cases for the reimplementation project, ensuring thorough quality assurance.
• Handle bug fixes and change requests as part of the team.
• Seek clarification from business analysts or developers when requirements or documentation are incomplete.
• Write detailed reproduction steps and communicate effectively with team members.
• Conduct testing beyond written instructions, exploring potential issues outside of identified bugs.
• Consider business context during testing, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Display a passion for problem-solving and a proactive approach to identifying issues.

Qualifications

Must have skills:

• Over 5 years of demonstrated expertise in Manual and UI Testing.
• Proven track record in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Development roles.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing test cases.

Good to have:

• Insurance industry experience
• Experience in Application Monitoring / Application Development function / Production Support
• Automated Testing (Selenium, Cucumber)
• API testing (Postman, SOAP UI)
• Performance testing (JMeter, Stress/Load Testing)
• Cross-Device Testing (Mobile - Apple or Android, Web)
• XML, DOM, HTML
• Scripting Language
• SQL and Database (i.e MS SQL)
• Experience in Azure DevOps, Jira
• Certification (ISTQB, CTFL)
• DevOps (CI/CD, Release Management)
• Logging / Kibana / Dashboard monitoring

Soft skills:

• Enjoys the challenge of identifying and resolving problems
• Proficient in effective communication.
• Demonstrates thorough testing practices, exploring beyond the apparent issues to uncover potential complexities.
• Considers the broader business context while conducting tests.

Education

BSc in computer science, engineering or related discipline OR relevant years of experience in required skills

Travelling

Travel to Denmark for induction and subsequence travels depend on project requirement but is likely.
