Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, procurement, and operations teams, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and budgetary targets by using Microsoft Project/Primavera P

• Coordinate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to support project activities and ensure efficient project execution.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and regulations.

Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and change orders, to support project implementation and documentation.

• Manage project procurement activities, including sourcing vendors, obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to optimize performance and achieve project objectives.

• Conduct project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation review, client handover, and lessons learned analysis, to ensure successful project completion and client satisfaction.

• Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.

Proficiency in project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with the ability to create and modify technical drawings and schematics will be an additional advantage.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results and meeting project objectives.

Detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and standards.

• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to engineering and construction projects.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 16 months

Pay: From RM6,000.00 per month
