In this role, you will be responsible for managing a group of pharmaceutical drugs under an assigned set of therapeutic areas. You will apply strategic thinking and ethical marketing skill to grow the product range which is sold in hospitals and pharmacies nationwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams like sales and operations to ensure smooth, unified execution and strive for market leadership of the product range.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop brand plans and strategies for the range of products within the assigned therapeutic area (TA) portfolio.
- Implement selling strategies for the therapeutic area, ensuring alignment of brands and working with the sales team to meet sales and market share targets.
- Formulate engagement plans to target channels and stakeholders, mainly KOLs in private and government hospitals nationwide.
- Monitor market trends, patient journey, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and keep the brands competitive.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets, monitor sales performance against forecasts, and adjust plans as needed to optimize sales performance within the TA portfolio.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key opinion leaders - healthcare professionals and therapeutic area specialists.
- Deliver product training for the sales team to enhance product knowledge and selling skill.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with well as with teams such as sales, regulatory, market access, and medical affairs.
What you'll bring to this role:
- Educational qualification in a science degree (nutrition, biomedical science, pharmacy, or related) or business administration/marketing
- 5+ years of experience in a brand or product management role in the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare industry
- Key knowledge of the hospital channel, especially with specialty care KOLs
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management ability
- Result-orientedness and a track record in growing market share for brands
- Strong analytical skills
