Develop process design deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, and equipment specifications for Hydrogen and Ammonia production facilities.
Perform process simulations using software such as Aspen Plus or similar tools to optimize process performance and efficiency.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to integrate process design with overall plant design.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and other safety and operability reviews to identify and resolve process design issues.
Support procurement activities by preparing technical bid evaluations, reviewing vendor documents, and participating in vendor meetings.
Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases to ensure successful project execution.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
5 to 10 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on Hydrogen and Ammonia production projects.
Strong proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
Knowledge of international codes and standards relevant to chemical process industries.
Experience in leading process engineering activities through detailed design, construction, and commissioning phases.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, if not already based there, for the duration of the assignment.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines effectively.
